Black and White

Finally!!! I have completed my 2x2 inch squares and am sending them off to Monica along with a brief synopsis.
Here is a copy of that, and photo's of my contribution for the cause.

Between May of 2005 and December of 2006, this horrific disease claimed the lives of two of my beautiful, young, magnificently vibrant, female cousins.
YES, absolutely, this cause is extremely personal and tremendously important to me as well as to my family. As is obvious in my choice of colors, or lack there-of, I am still grief stricken and angry.
Hence....the black-lots of it.
But then again, sometimes such is life, black and white. That is when I know I must search for perspective. Life wants me to learn something, do something. So............................I take the black and the white
and I
go make ART

I am so happy to be participating in the "Pink Artist Art Doll Project" hosted by Monica Magness. She has created a doll that will be outfitted with all of the squares and then auctioned off on ebay, with the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

This endeavor is not only a way for me to take action towards a cure, but to also reflect... to use this time to remember those I have so sadly lost and appreciate those that I am so fortunate to still have.
I am posting photo's of a few of my UNfinished 2x2 inch squares for those of you who might be looking here. from my heART
